Here are a selection of testimonials from athletes who I have helped, supported and coached  –

Myka Heard (Great Britain Triathlon Team) – “I approached Andy Bennett on the recommendation of friends who had worked with him in the past.  I had qualified for to represent Great Britain in the Age Group Triathlon team at the European Championships in Lisbon however I had only taken up cycling and triathlon 18 months before so I knew I had a lot to learn and improve on the bike.  Andy has worked with me to develop my confidence and strength on the bike, looking at my position on the bike, and helping me to structure my training.  Since working with Andy I have achieved a bronze medal at the English National Championships Standard Distance Triathlon and gained me an automatic qualification through my time in that for the ITU World Championships in Mexico later this year, I managed to knock 9 minutes of my previous bike section in this qualifier.   At Lisbon I came 14th overall, I was delighted with this, my next aim is to do well at the Worlds this year, and hopefully qualify for the Europeans next year and aim for the podium.”

Tom Saxlund  (Sportive rider) – “When I met Andy I knew little about cycling, training and racing. I had done some sportives and liked the idea of getting better with someone who knew their stuff. With Andy’s coaching, advice and encouragement I have already achieved some good goals. Last year I started racing and rode the Marmotte Cyclosportive in France. I came 459th out of 7500 riders. I was 44th fastest in my age group (out of a 1000). With Andy’s input my threshold power has jumped over 50 watts and I think there’s a lot more potential to come with Andy’s help. If like me, you’re a hobby rider who’d like to get a lot better, and you’re committed to do the work, I’d recommend Andy 100%.”Tom1

Ian Williams   (Great Britain (AG) Duathlon team) – “Wanting to make a return to competitive competition after an absence of 10 years, I approached Andy for help and guidance, inside of a year I have equalled personal bests set many years back and represented Great Britain at both the World and European Duathlon (AG) championships.”

Matt Brammeier (Team Dimension Data) – “Andy was my coach throughout my first 5 years of my career and helped me on the way to 33 wins including 3 national championship wins! After this I graduated to the Great Britain National team and there started my Professional career.

Caroline Higgins (Great Britain Triathlon Team) – ” I worked with Andy for 6 months after I qualified to represent Great Britain at the 2015 European Triathlon Championships in Geneva. Cycling was my weakest discipline, Andy sorted out my bike position and helped me choose a new bike to use for the race. The training was all set out for me via Training Peaks and included regular testing to see my power improvement. The program also included strength sessions in ‘Globogym’. Andy also arranged for me to ride some Time Trials as part of the preparation. In Geneva I achieved 9th AG with a pb in the bike leg !!”

Jonny McEvoy (NFTO) -” I first met Andy through riding for Liverpool Century where I was a schoolboy. As I got older Andy suggested doing things a little differently – How to build up to the season, plan things out in phases, basically being specific about what I wanted to achieve”

Hannah Macdonald (Time Triallist -Liverpool Century).  “I joined the Century as a complete novice to cycling in 2011 after numerous other sports including swimming and sailing. Andy always had a few tips for me to help me improve and then in 2012 started to coach me properly including looking at my nutrition and using a power meter for training. My strength was always going to be Time Trialling and in 2014 I was 4th overall in the British Best All Rounder competition. My PB’s are currently 21:24 (10 mile), 56:30 (25 mile), 1.56:32 (50 mile) and 4:08.11 (100 mile). I have also won the Merseyside BAR twice with a record average speed of 25.24 mph.”

Mark McNally (Wanty-Groupe Gobert) – ” I can remember when I started out riding with the Liverpool Century when I was 11 years old, one of my earliest memories was going out on the club run and I completely blew my brain out, my tank was empty and Andy gave me a bit of food and pushed me the ten miles to the cafe, and from that day on he took me under his wing”
